Frequently asked questions

What the data is, where it comes from, and how the plans work.

Where does the data come from?
Occupancy-tax (HOT) receipts filed with the Texas Comptroller, obtained through the Comptroller's gated SIFT portal and loaded into our database. We refresh monthly as new filings post.
Is this public information I could get myself?
Per-property receipts are not posted publicly and there is no public API — the state is barred from posting per-business hotel receipts. Getting them means manual, gated downloads and heavy parsing. We do that work and make it searchable.
What's the difference between Free, Trial, and Pro?
Free lets you search and see each property's basic facts and ownership history. The 7-day free trial (no card) unlocks everything — full revenue history, analytics, comparables, portfolios, and exports. Pro ($9.99/month) keeps all of that plus unlimited exports.
How much does it cost?
$9.99/month after a 7-day free trial. No credit card to start the trial, and you can cancel anytime from your account — no contracts. Access continues to the end of any paid period.
How current and granular is the data?
Coverage runs 2017–2026 with monthly granularity where filers report monthly, and quarterly aggregates where that's all that exists. New data is loaded every month.
How accurate are the figures?
Figures are derived from occupancy-tax filings and are provided for informational purposes only. Some are estimated or reconstructed, and filings can contain errors or omissions — verify independently before relying on any number. This is not financial advice, and we are not affiliated with the Texas Comptroller.
